We have changed the way in which you set up new Payees for Citibank Global Transfers.

This change is designed to increase security on your account, and to safeguard your transactions, ensuring that the funds reach the intended recipient efficiently and safely.

At the moment, once you have added a new Payee to your account, you can transfer funds to any nominated account immediately. Once you've added the new Payee, you will then need to call Citiphone* in order to activate the service before you can transfer funds.

You only need to call Citiphone* when making the first transfer for that Payee and any subsequent transfer do not require you to call.

Please note, this only affects Citibank Global Transfers. The setting up process for new Payees on other transfers remains the same.
