ISAs Explained

An ISA is a tax-efficient way of saving or investing. Essentially, you can use it as a wrapper, putting it around whatever you're saving or investing in - such as an investment product (the Investment ISA option) or a cash deposit (the Cash ISA option) - and in doing so, you benefit from tax efficiency on the returns which you receive. Each year you have a new ISA allowance. The tax year period runs from 6 April through to 5 April the following year.
Why make your ISA selection from Citi?
There's an overwhelming choice of Investment ISAs out there. So we have made the choice easy for you by doing all the hard work. We've reviewed the whole funds market and picked out what we believe to be four of the best Multi-Manager Funds from two of the UK's leading Fund Managers to place within your ISA.
Why is picking the right fund so important?
When it comes to investing, we all have different preferences. Therefore, the fund selection you make should be centred around your objectives and appetite for risk. With this in mind, the Multi-Manager Funds we have selected offer different investment profiles and the choice between income, capital growth, or combination of the two. So, whether you're after a more cautious approach, a balanced portfolio with more risk, or perhaps you're a more sophisticated investor looking for something a little more aggressive - the choice is yours.
Why use a Multi-Manager ISA?
- It's easy
We are not tied to any single provider. This means we are able to explore the whole market, to find funds managed by the most talented fund managers. - Diversification
Multi-Managed investments spread your exposure to risk between different Fund Managers, with different investment objectives. - Professional Management
All four Multi-Manager Funds are managed by teams of investment experts who continually review fund performance and respond if necessary, to changing market conditions in order to provide the best possible return for investors. - Lower risk
Investing in a range of different Fund Managers can provide greater stability and reduce the risk associated with the decisions of a single manager. - Risk-adjusted portfolios
Each of our Multi-Manager Funds are managed to a different risk profile, ensuring that we may have a Multi-Manager Fund offering to suit all investors, from the cautious through to the more aggressive.
Your choice
Invest in one or any combination of the four Multi-Manager Funds on offer from a minimum of £100 per month or £1,000 lump sum. Please make sure you remain within the annual ISA allowance of £10,200 for the 2010/2011 tax year. The minimum holding amount for your plan is the same as the minimum initial payment amount (i.e. either £100 if you're making regular monthly payments or £1,000 if you are making a lump sum payment).
If you have an existing Cash or Investment ISA with another provider, you can now transfer it into a Citi Investment ISA and we will not charge you a fee. Simply complete the transfer form to begin the transfer process.
