Important Information

1. The Time Deposit is subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. We reserve the right to refuse any application to open a Time Deposit. The Time Deposit is for a 12 or 24 month term. Deposits for the Time Deposit must be made by funds transfer from your nominated Citi savings or current account (excluding Fixed Rate Bond and Time Deposit accounts). The Time Deposit is provided by Citibank International plc. Interest is calculated on a 365 or 360 day basis appropriate to the currency. Interest will accrue daily and will be credited only at maturity. Please refer to the account terms and conditions for full details.

2. If you break your Time Deposit before it has reached maturity you will be charged a breakage fee. This fee will be equivalent to 120 days' interest for terms over 6 months and 60 days for terms of 6 months or less.

Where a deposit exceeds £50,000 (or foreign currency equivalent at the date of deposit) the interest arising from the deposit will be paid without the deduction of the basic rate of tax. You will be responsible for declaring the income to H.M. Revenue and Customs on your tax return.
