The Citigold Private Client Young Successors Program

Highlights

The Regional Citigold Private Client Young Successor Program is a specially curated three day learning program developed in partnership with prestigious brands such as Wharton Business School, Schroders and emerging FinTech companies such as Fluidly, exclusively for young adults from Citigold Private Client families. It provided insights into leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability and the future of investing through interactive case studies and workshops.

Highlights include:

Day One: Leadership & Innovation

Tesla took Citigold Private Clients on a spin in the Model S and Model X. Felimy Greene, Regional Head of Customer Franchise, Citibank, then inspired the young successors to strive for 10 times, not 10% when it comes to client experience, educating them on the importance of digitization for modern companies.

Day Two: The Future Entrepreneur

Day two kicked off with an Artificial Intelligence master class held by Johnnie Ball, Co-Founder of Fluidly, one of FinTech50's Hot 10 companies.

The young successors then had an intimate Q&A with our entrepreneur panel learning what it takes to work in a start up company. The panel featured:

Johnnie Ball, Fluidly
Zatarsha Chaudhry, Previse
Ruzbeh Bacha, CityFalcon

Finally, Amy Neale from Mastercard's Start Path then educated the young successors on how to start their own businesses by defining their business canvas model.

Day Three: Investing for the Future

The final day opened with an introduction to Behavioural Finance with Nick Chater, Co-founder of Decision Technology. Following this, the young successors discovered their investIQ with Courtney Waterman, Head of EMEA & Digital Marketing at Schroders, learning their investment personality traits and how such traits such as overconfidence and impulsivity can impact their investment decisions. Ed Gillespie later educated the young successors on sustainability and productivity, guiding them through some of the environmental challenges we face today and what the young successors can do to help make significant changes. Belinda Gan from Schroders Sustainable Investment team then explained how sustainable investing works in practice and why it is important in achieving long-term success. To complete day three, Alex Miller, Global Equity Product Head at Citi Research, explained Citi's view on long-term Thematic trends as discussed in Citi's Global Perspectives & Solutions (Citi GPS) series.

The program concluded with a graduation dinner at the Museum of London Docklands where Salman Haider, Managing Director and Head of UK Consumer Bank & International Personal Bank presented the young successors with their awards.
