As a current Citi client, you’re already aware of the high quality service we offer as part of your Citigold relationship and we’re very pleased to have so many of our clients come to us from personal recommendations. If you know someone else, maybe a friend, family member or colleague, who you think may benefit from our expertise, why not refer them directly to us and we will send you a reward as our way of saying thank-you.
To introduce a potential client, simply speak to your Citigold Relationship Manager.

If your friend successfully opens a Citigold account, you’ll be entitled to a valuable reward from our selection below, or a cash alternative if preferred. We will update the range of rewards periodically including regular time-limited offers to compliment the main selection of rewards that are available. Rewards for your first successful referral include an Apple Watch Series 1 or £300 cash.
More referrals means greater rewards
Our reward options grow in value for your second and third successful referrals, along with increased cash alternatives of £480 and £650. What’s more, you can refer up to 20 people a year so once you’ve made your third qualifying referral you will receive a cash reward of £650 for every subsequent successful referral.
Rewards for referring a client to Citigold (funding to at least £150,000) are as follows:

Referrals to Citigold Private Client: earn even more
If the person you introduce goes on to join Citigold Private Client, our bespoke service for investors with holdings of £650,000 or more, the rewards are even greater. For each referral, you’ll be entitled both to your choice of gift and a cash reward, paid straight to your account:

Simple and straightforward
To recommend a friend, simply contact your Relationship Manager letting us know if you prefer one of our rewards or a cash reward. From there, we’ll do the rest. Once your friend has transferred the minimum Relationship Balance (as shown above) to their new account, you’ll be eligible to receive your reward or cash alternative within 60 working days from the date that the successful referral is confirmed by us.
As stated above, for referrals to Citigold Private Client, you’ll be entitled to both your choice of gift and a cash reward.

UK Consumer Member Get Member Terms and Conditions
- The following terms and conditions apply to the member get member referral scheme (the ‘Scheme’) between January 1st – December 31st 2017 inclusive (the “Scheme Period”).
- The Scheme is open to all clients, except Senior Public Officials, who hold a Current or Savings Account with Citibank Europe plc, UK Branch (“Citi”, “we”, “us”) and who are aged 18 and over (“Eligible Client” “you” “your”). We will regard you as a Senior Public Official if we reasonably believe that you or your relative currently occupies/have occupied or are actively seeking/being considered for a senior position in the government, any department, agency, subsidiary government organisation, or in the political process (e.g. in a political party).Employees of the UK Consumer business employed within any of the following roles: Relationship Manager, Relationship Officer, and CitiPhone Officer, are excluded from the Scheme and will not be rewarded for any referrals under the Scheme. The Scheme is subject to a maximum limit of 20 referrals during the Scheme Period. The terms in paragraphs 3 , 4 and 5 are subject to this limit. If you reach this limit and want to make further referrals you will need our prior consent. In addition, you will not be eligible to receive a reward under the Scheme if the new client who you refer has held an account with Citi International Personal Bank or Citi UK Consumer bank within the twelve months preceding the date on which their new account is opened
- Subject to the other provisions in these terms and conditions, if you refer a new client (the “referee”) to open a Citigold Current Account with us, you will be eligible for a reward if the referee successfully opens a Citigold Current Account (sole or joint) and deposits at least £150,000 within 3 months of the account opening date.
- You will receive a gift, chosen by yourself from the range of gift rewards which are available at the time of the successful referral or a cash alternative of £300 for your first successful referral. Further, you will receive a higher value gift or cash reward of £480 for your second successful referral, and a gift or cash alternative reward of £650 for your third subsequent successful referral (ask your Relationship Manager for further details). All successful referrals beyond the third will be rewarded a £650 cash payment per referral.
You will not receive a reward if the referee does not successfully open a Citigold Current Account and deposit at least £150,000 into that account within 3 months of the account opening date. You will not receive a reward if the referee does not consent to the disclosure of information which relates to the fact of their account opening and the value of their deposit.
- If your referee becomes a Citigold Private Client at the invitation of Citi within 3 months of the account opening date, in addition to the rewards stated in clause 4, you will also receive a cash payment of £300. Further, if you refer a second referee that goes on to become a Citigold Private Client within 3 months of the account opening date, in addition to the reward stated in clause 4 for subsequent referrals, the cash reward will increase to £480. If you refer a third referee that goes on to become a Citigold Private Client within 3 months of the account opening date, in addition to the reward stated in clause 4 for subsequent referrals,you will receive a cash payment of £650. All successful Citigold Private Client referrals beyond your third will be rewarded with a cash payment of £1,300.
- You will not receive the reward referred to in clause 5 if, in addition to the disclosure of information relating to their account opening and the value of their deposit, the referee does not consent to the disclosure of the information that they are eligible to become a Citigold Private Client.
- If your referral is successful you will be contacted by your Relationship Manager and you will receive your reward within 60 days of the referee meeting the qualifying criteria.
- Only accounts opened with clients forming a new relationship with us will qualify for the Scheme. New accounts opened by referees who are existing clients will not qualify.
- You will only receive one reward per referee irrespective of how many accounts that referee opens with us and you will only receive one reward if two or more referees open a joint account together. If the account opened by the referee is a joint account, you will not receive a reward if you are one of the joint account holders.
- If more than one Eligible Client refers a new client who successfully opens a Citigold Current Account with us, the Eligible Client who submitted the referral first will be entitled to the reward.
- This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
- You must obtain the prior consent of the referee to being contacted by us before making a referral and you give consent to your name being mentioned in communications between the referee and us.
- We have carefully chosen the respective business partner(s) for the Scheme. However, we will not be liable for any loss, damage or non-performance arising from the delivery or use of products and services offered through this Scheme.

- We reserve the right to vary the Terms and Conditions of the Scheme from time to time without prior notice.
- If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation, or by final determination of a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
- This Scheme is governed by English law and is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts or any court in the United Kingdom which is able to hear the case. Citibank Europe plc, UK Branch is the organiser of this Scheme and is responsible for its administration and conduct.
